Colección SOLO celebrates the enduring relevance of the twentieth-century artist, Juan Barjola, in the exhibition "Barjola, an apocryphal portrait". Developed in close collaboration with the Juan Barjola Estate, the exhibition features over 30 original paintings and drawings, shown alongside contemporary works ranging from sculpture to artificial intelligence.

“It from bit” explores the synergistic possibilities of the impact between the individual and the collective of the human being within the field of New Media Art. Combining light, sound, and movement, the exhibition by the Spanish artist brings five individual artworks to life.
Wametisé explores Amazonian futurism through AI, immersive digital installations, and speculative storytelling. Curated by Denilson Baniwa and María Wills, it merges indigenous cosmologies with cutting-edge tech, reimagining creation, ecology, and digital existence.

The exhibition by the British artist is curated by star-curator Hans Ulrich Obrist , and will happen at Fundación Sandretto Re Rebaudengo at the Montaña de los Gatos in Madrid’s Retiro Park, a newly renovated space which is itself considered a total work of art. The solo exhibition by the Chilean artist reunites site-specific installations like rural settings and made with ceramics, fabric or wood, but also bacteria and human faeces. Like in alchemy, the show at CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo transforms mundane materials into precious ones.

The private collection of Thyssen is a must in Madrid! The museum also hosts the TBA21, a leading contemporary art program. This time, Tarek Atoui presents his long-term investigation into rural music forms of the Arab World. On March 3rd, the artist himself will gather with other musicians for a concert as part of ARCOmadrid’s program.

“Opera to a Black Venus”, is a solo show by the Berlin-based Portuguese artist Grada Kilomba, one of the most highlighted artists worldwide. Kilomba is best known for her unique practice of storytelling, in which she gives body, voice, form and movement to address questions of memory, trauma, gender and postcolonialism.

The Portuguese artist intervenes in the salons and gardens of the Liria Palace, blending with one of the most important private historical-artistic collections in the world, which includes works by artists such as Velázquez, Goya, Rubens, Titian, and Murillo.

This is the first exhibition in Spain by French artist Pol Taburet is opening its doors at the Hexagon Pavilion, organized by Fundación Sandretto Madrid. Come and discover our new commitment to emerging contemporary art, once again curated by Hans Ulrich.

Lee Gamble teams up with choreographer Candela Capitán to stage Models, blending AI-generated voices with physical performance. Exploring imitation and simulation, disembodied voices gain temporary embodiment through movement. Capitán’s choreography examines technology’s impact on the body, using live-streamed close-ups to contrast real and digital experience. Co-produced by Unsound & Sónar Festival.
