The Enter Art Fair had a digital sector, but it is with a heavy heart that I have to write that none of the works moved me and that I therefore cannot list any digital art in this letter of recommendation. The art on display seemed rather didactic, technical and explanatory. What I missed was the experimental, playful, critical or humorous that often characterizes classic contemporary art in analog media.
For this reason, I decided to look for art that uses digital tools or digitally affiliated techniques in the classic sectors of the fairs. This, too, was very difficult to find.It seems that the Scandinavian art market still focuses very much on analog and classic media and techniques.
One artist who uses digital tools very well and intelligently to achieve an analog-looking result is Gioele Amaro, presented at the Enter Art Fair by Gether Contemporary. He paints his artworks digitally and has them printed on canvas. Afterwards, he paints over the prints with varnish, like an oil painting. This final processing step gives the digital print an analog look that completely misleads the viewer.

The next painter I would like to recommend is Cecilia Fiona. A classical painter who has redefined the use of oil paint for herself. The painting looks like a drawing on canvas, but is classically painted with a brush. The memory of Hilma Af Klint is certainly intentional on the part of the artist. Presented by Andersen's Gallery at the Chart Art Fair.

As a contrast, I would like to introduce Pia Ferm, presented by Saskia Neumann Gallery at the Chart Art Fair. The artist switches between media and techniques as often as she likes. In her motifs, she likes to play between the natural and the fantastic. In Scandinavia, her works are extremely popular.

I would also like to mention a very well-known artist, André Butzer, presented by the Livie Gallery at the Enter Art Fair. Butzer is known worldwide and stands out with his use of forms, especially the drawing of the eyes.
