*On the occasion of To Make a World Out of Sediment and Sky, an exhibition featuring Camilla Alberti and Wendi Yan, curated by Valentina Buzzi at ARTVERSE in Paris from October 20 to December 19, 2026, here is the catalog of available artworks.

The exhibition brings together two distinct approaches to world-building. Camilla Alberti explores the transformation of matter and the relationships between living organisms, natural materials, and industrial remnants through hybrid sculptures and bioprinted textiles. Wendi Yan draws on the history of science, Daoist philosophy, and digital technologies to construct speculative landscapes through CGI, painting, and photolithography on copper.

Together, their practices explore how material processes, technology, and imagination can give shape to alternative worlds.

*On the occasion of Art Blocks Marfa Weekend, one project not to be missed is There Will Be Signs by Travis LeRoy Southworth, developed during the 2026 Art Blocks × OpenSea Marfa Artist Residency. From October 21–25, twelve sites across Marfa will become part of a generative art project that brings together digital artworks, public sculptures, and site-specific installations. Drawing on the visual language of road signs, warnings, and symbols, the project explores how meaning and authority are constructed, transforming familiar forms of communication into ambiguous signifiers.

Built with p5.js and inspired by Donald Judd, Ed Ruscha, and the visual culture of American highways, the project moves beyond the screen into the public space, where sculptures and installations interact with Marfa's landscape, architecture, light, and weather.

At its heart is a continuous exchange between the digital and physical worlds: code becomes image, image becomes object, object becomes site, and site returns to code.

Definitely a project to discover while in Marfa!

VRBIS - A City Built by Humans and Machines

VRBIS, by artist untitled xyz, is a continuously evolving virtual city and collaborative artwork where humans and AI build, plan, and negotiate urban life together. Residents powered by AI inhabit the city, work, observe their surroundings, and provide feedback as it grows. The project explores the relationship between human intention, machine interpretation, and collective decision-making.

PLATES is a series of artworks created from the perspective of the city's AI residents. Each illustration captures a particular moment, place, and observation within VRBIS, becoming part of an evolving visual record of the city. Each PLATE exists in two forms: a fully on-chain ERC-721 NFT and a physical 20 × 20 cm pen-plot drawing.
