ARS ELECTRONICA 2026

SEPT 9-13 | LINZ, AUSTRIA

Since 1979, Ars Electronica has been where art, technology, and society meet — and this year marks a milestone: the festival's 30th anniversary alongside its longtime home, the Ars Electronica Center. Held across Linz's OK Quarter, Danube Triangle, and MED Campus, the 2026 edition explores "Negotiating Humanity," bringing together exhibitions, performances, conferences, and the Prix Ars Electronica — the world's longest-running media art award — for five days of dialogue on AI, technology, and what it means to be human today.

For collectors, it's a rare chance to see media art history and its next chapter side by side: award-winning artists presenting new work, open conferences on the questions shaping the field, and a city-wide program built for wandering, discovering, and talking with the people making the work. Whether it's your first Ars Electronica or your tenth, it's a good place to see where digital art is headed next.
