Returning for its second edition, Africa Basel is a focused platform for contemporary African art and its global diaspora, now housed in Klybeck 610, a listed industrial building designed by Suter + Suter in the 1960s. MON, JUNE 15 | Kult.Kino Camera · Rebgasse 1, 4058 Basel
Digital art spans more than 70 years of experimentation between art, science, and technology. From the computational experiments of the New Tendencies movement in the 1960s, to the activist practices of net art in the early internet era, artists have continually explored and challenged the systems shaping digital culture. The Digital Art Summit brings together artists, curators, and collectors to examine how this history continues today, through collecting, institutional recognition, and new forms of world-building across CGI, blockchain, and AI.

JUNE 15 - 21 | Zero 10 Sector, Messe Basel, Messeplatz 10, 4058 Basel
Digital Masterpieces: From Code to Canon brings together works spanning seventy years of digital art history. Presented by ArtMeta, a selection is on view at Art Basel in June 2026. The catalogue extends that presentation with additional works and an accompanying essay. Together they form a single argument, structured in seven chapters. All works in the exhibition are available for acquisition. A rare opportunity to collect historically significant digital art within a single, curated art-historical framework.

HEK (House of Electronic Arts) runs a packed program throughout Art Week (June 15–21, open daily 10AM–6PM), anchored by two exhibitions at its Münchenstein home — New Rituals [for the End of the World] and Stefanie Egedy's sound installation Sonic Energetics — alongside two collaborations with Tezos: the online exhibition 404_LAND and Quayola's En plein air on HEK's outdoor platform, with a reception Wednesday, June 17 from 8PM.

For members of 100 collectors, we recommend taking the time to explore the Art Basel app, where you'll find a comprehensive guide to exhibitions taking place across the city. An Art Basel VIP card grants free admission to most institutions, as well as complimentary access to Basel's tram network.

Beyond museums and galleries, Basel itself becomes an exhibition space through ARTour, a city-wide augmented reality art trail. Using the free ARTour app, visitors can discover a series of digital artworks by international artists placed throughout the historic centre, visible only through their smartphones. Blending public space, technology, and contemporary art, the project transforms Basel into an open-air digital museum and offers a unique way to explore the city beyond the fair.
The complete route takes approximately 75–90 minutes, but artworks can also be visited individually as you wander through the city.
