Feb 2025
This February, during NFT Paris 2025, the 100 collectors curated an exclusive experience for our members, securing free tickets to the conference and crafting a tailored program of must-see exhibitions and events across Paris. The biggest highlight in our agenda was the private visit we organized to the studio of Aurèce Vettier, the art project founded by Paul Mouginot in 2019. On Saturday, the 15th, we stepped into his creative space for an intimate experience—one that offered a rare opportunity to meet the artist where digital experimentation and material craftsmanship converge.
Welcoming us into his studio, Mouginot shared how Aurèce Vettier exists between the physical and digital worlds. The name itself, generated by an algorithm, reflects the project’s collaborative and experimental nature. He described his practice as a continuous dialogue—drawing, painting, and sculpting in the real world while simultaneously exploring the boundless possibilities of data and machine-generated elements. AI, in his view, is not a creator but an assistant, a tool for expanding conceptual possibilities rather than replacing human intuition.
He told us that poetry is the backbone of his practice. His first work was a book of poetry co-written with a machine, setting the foundation for his ongoing exploration of language, code, and materiality. This delicate balance between technology and artistic fragility is evident in series like Potential Herbariums, where AI-generated plant forms take shape as oil paintings, bronze sculptures, and digital works.
NFT Paris, held on February 13-14 at La Grande Halle de la Villette, was once again a key moment for the Web3 and digital art community. With 20,000 attendees, 150 booths, and over 400 speakers, it provided a space to reflect on the evolving relationship between art and technology. With so much happening around NFT Paris, we focused on what matters most to us—creating a thoughtfully curated program dedicated entirely to art.
