1. About The Project
Created for NFC Lisbon, Azulejo Galo is a new generative series by Bryan Brinkman, inspired by Lisbon's iconic blue-and-white azulejo tiles and the Galo de Barcelos, Portugal's symbol of luck and good fortune.
Each work is a unique generative artwork composed of digital tiles, which together form the blueprint for a printable and foldable origami rooster.

2. What Makes It Unique
The project combines generative art, Portuguese cultural heritage, and physical participation.
Rather than ending with the mint, the work continues through the collector's engagement: printing, folding, and transforming the artwork into a physical object.
In this way, collecting becomes an active experience rather than a passive one.

4. Why Collectors Should Care
This project extends the artwork beyond ownership into experience.
Collectors don't simply acquire a generative image.
They are invited to sit with the artist, print, fold, and assemble the work together.
The result is a rare moment where creator and collector actively participate in the artwork side by side.

5. Personal Recommendation
"Bryan Brinkman has long explored ways of making digital art more playful, accessible, and participatory. Azulejo Galo captures that spirit perfectly. This is another colorful example of Brinkman's signature way of engaging with and giving back to the community he has helped build and been an active part of for many years.”
