Biography

Coldie is an award-winning American mixed-media artist widely regarded as one of the pioneers and highest-earning creators of crypto art since he began minting on the blockchain in 2017. His signature technique involves stereoscopic 3D and anaglyph imagery, layering photography, hand-drawn elements, and animation into lenticular-style portraits and collages that require specialized viewing or depth perception to fully experience. Coldie's most recognized body of work, 'Decentral Eyes,' is a multilayered portrait series depicting prominent figures from the crypto and technology world, including Vitalik Buterin, Edward Snowden, and John McAfee, using his 3D collage technique to visually embody the history and ideology of decentralization. His other major project, 'Filthy Fiat,' offers a critical commentary on traditional financial institutions and shifting global economic power. Originally trained in stereoscopic 3D photography and concert imagery before moving into crypto art, Coldie has exhibited in national juried art exhibitions and major cryptocurrency industry events, and has collaborated with legacy musical acts such as the gothic rock band Bauhaus as well as fellow digital artists on high-profile drops.
