Biography

CyberSea is a generative artist, creative coder, and developer whose practice explores code, systems, storytelling, and Bitcoin as an artistic material. Beyond their own art practice, CyberSea is a curator at gmDAO, a collective of generative artists and collectors behind gm. studio, and co-founder of BrokerList, a Web3 initiative. Their generative collections, including Enigma, Deus Ex Machina, Code Is Art, BANG!, and Emotions, are built natively on Bitcoin, often using Ordinals inscriptions to embed evolving, code-driven visuals directly on-chain. Deus Ex Machina in particular is known for functioning as a living mechanical system, pulling real-time blockchain data to continuously reshape the piece rather than presenting a fixed image. CyberSea's Enigma collection has been described as bringing Bitcoin's inner technical workings to life through hypnotic, systems-driven visuals, positioning the artist within a growing movement treating Bitcoin not simply as a financial ledger but as a durable medium for long-form generative art. At NFC Summit 2026 in Lisbon, CyberSea's Mosaic collaboration with BitArt was presented by the Bitcoin Art Society, inviting community members to contribute to a collective, generative composition built from Bitcoin transaction data. Across their work, CyberSea consistently returns to the idea that Bitcoin's network already contains a hidden visual and structural language, one that a careful generative artist can surface and translate into art.
