Biography

FelixFelixFelix is a Paris-born and raised artist who studied architecture and structural engineering before turning his design training toward digital and blockchain-based art. Describing himself playfully as an 'artist, architect, and antique ancestor of a civilization from a far future,' he builds much of his practice around collage as an open-ended narrative format, treating fragments of imagery as building blocks for larger constructed worlds. His best-known project, CYPHERDUDES, is a generative cryptoart series that pays tribute to the cypherpunk movement, the ideological and technical community credited with laying the groundwork for the creation of Bitcoin in 2008. Each Cypherdude acts as a personification of crypto culture, visually translating the expressions, values, and behaviors specific to the broader crypto ecosystem into a distinct generative character. FelixFelixFelix has described an ambitious ongoing effort to develop a complete world to host the full CYPHERDUDES collection on the blockchain, extending the project beyond individual collectible characters into a larger connected universe. His work has been exhibited by galleries including L'Avant Galerie Vossen and featured on platforms such as SuperRare, and CYPHERDUDES was highlighted as one of the breakout NFT stories of 2024, with the artist later revealing more about the project's origins and mythology in press coverage.
