A Finnish digital artist who fuses digital painting, traditional technique, and AI into ethereal, movement-driven visual storytelling.
Jenni Pasanen (born 1993) is a Finnish digital artist who fuses digital painting, traditional artistic technique, and artificial intelligence into a single visual language centered on movement and storytelling. Her path began in traditional fine art and continued through independent practice, formal design studies in Iran and at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy, and roughly fifteen years working professionally in design and animation. That varied background gave her a strong sense of structure, motion, and narrative while pushing her practice beyond fixed categories toward a hybrid approach drawing on many fields at once. Pasanen treats every traditional and digital tool as an extension of her craft rather than a replacement for it, building ethereal, dreamlike paintings from curiosity, scientific observation, and accumulated knowledge of art, design, technology, and lived human experience. Her incorporation of artificial intelligence into a painterly visual language has been highlighted by outlets such as My Modern Met, which noted how her fifteen years of digital painting experience evolved dramatically once she began integrating AI into her process. Pasanen's work has been shown in more than thirty international exhibitions across cities including Paris, New York, and Tokyo, and is held in collections such as the Arab Bank Switzerland Digital Art Collection. She continues to develop new bodies of work that merge classical aesthetic sensibilities with futuristic digital techniques, exploring how human creativity and machine intelligence can coexist within a single, cohesive artistic voice.
