A French hacker-artist who blends crypto art with technical exploits, creating works that exist natively within blockchain systems.
Nahiko is a French artist and self-described hacker whose practice sits at the unusual intersection of crypto art and technical exploitation, using vulnerabilities and quirks within blockchain platforms as raw creative material. Rather than treating the blockchain purely as a distribution layer for digital images, Nahiko treats it as a medium in its own right, building works that are only fully realized through their interaction with smart contracts, network activity, and on-chain data. Early in his practice he gained attention for exploiting technical loopholes on NFT marketplaces such as Rarible and SuperRare, using these interventions to question assumptions about ownership, permanence, and platform control within the NFT space. His generative collection 'Entropy,' launched in 2022, visualizes the increasing entropy of the blockchain itself, translating abstract network activity into a continuously evolving visual system. Nahiko has described his interest in probing whether NFTs represent art or generative art, and in exploring how artworks can be embedded so deeply into blockchain infrastructure that they become inseparable from it. His later project 'MONEY,' presented through NEORT++, continued this inquiry into value, ownership, and the mechanics of decentralized systems. Working under the tagline 'hacking the new world,' Nahiko continues to produce art that treats code, exploits, and blockchain architecture as expressive tools.
