Biography

Patrick Amadon is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist who has been creating glitch-based digital work since 2012. Before turning to digital media, he worked as a painter and graffiti artist, and that background continues to inform his practice, which merges traditional painting and street-art sensibilities with code-based glitch techniques and photographic manipulation. In the years before mainstream recognition of NFTs, Amadon shared his glitched imagery on platforms like Tumblr alongside early digital-art peers such as XCOPY, helping to build an underground community around glitch aesthetics. His work often explores counter-cultural and political themes, including surveillance, privacy, and the impact of data and technology on society, frequently using visual distortion as a metaphor for systems breaking down or being subverted. Amadon gained wider recognition in the NFT space for GIF-format glitch pieces that combine layered imagery with intentional digital corruption, and has released work across multiple platforms and blockchains. He has also produced provocative, socially engaged projects, including a piece called 'No Rioters' that sparked public debate about art, activism, and free expression. Amadon has spoken extensively about his practice and the culture around digital art in interviews and podcasts, discussing his transition from graffiti to glitch art and his ongoing interest in transmedia storytelling. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and he continues to develop new projects that push glitch art into galleries, museums, and digital art platforms alike.
