‍

ABOUT THE SHOW

The exhibition occupies the unstable boundary between external image and ocular event. Lieberman constructs forms that appear before the eye while activating layers of perception within. Colors blend and separate. Edges soften, vibrate, or dissolve. Luminous forms leave trails reminiscent of an eye examination, an afterimage, or illumination glimpsed before vision has fully adjusted.Code suspends the familiar laws governing these experiences and gives light new forms of persistence, attraction, resistance, and transformation. Through this process, the work establishes its own conditions for light and allows an image to emerge through Lieberman’s systems. The exhibition treats light as a field of possibility for poetic expression and its computational systems visualize novel structures for light that operate according to unfamiliar rules.Contact us for a preview of the catalog for interest in collecting.
