Responsive Dreams 2026 - Digital Art Festival

Responsive Dreams is Barcelona’s first digital art festival dedicated entirely to art created with code.

Founded in 2023 by the nonprofit Generative Art Museum, the festival explores creative coding as an artistic medium, bringing generative art into a physical setting where audiences can experience—and often interact with—works beyond the screen.

Its programme combines algorithmic artworks, immersive installations and live coding with performances, talks, workshops and conversations between artists and visitors.

Each edition also commissions artists to develop new works exploring responsiveness, animation and interaction.

In 2024, Responsive Dreams received a special mention from the City of Barcelona’s Digital Culture Award for creating a dedicated space for the generative-art community and for the quality of its programme.
