A private studio visit in Lisbon introduced our members to the world of Evy Jokhova: her practice, her process, and a quietly radical new project built around fermentation, food, and the art of gathering.
We first encountered Evy Jokhova's work a couple of years ago during her solo exhibition at 3+1 Arte Contemporânea gallery in Lisbon. Something about it stayed with us. So when Evy extended an invitation to visit her studio, we accepted without hesitation.

The visit gave our members rare, unfiltered access to the way Evy thinks and works. She walked us through her practice in full, the conceptual frameworks that drive each project, the material decisions behind each body of work, and the way she moves from idea to finished show. It was the kind of conversation that only happens in a studio, away from the white walls and the formality of an opening.
The most compelling thing she shared was entirely new: a kitchen project. Evy is developing a dedicated space for dinners and encounters centred on fermentation processes and the social dimension of sharing food. It is at once an artwork, a living laboratory, and a gathering place: a space where the act of eating becomes both subject and medium.

To bring this project to life, Evy has opened the door to a small circle of patrons. By acquiring a specially made clay snake, an artwork conceived specifically within the context of this project, collectors, friends, and colleagues can participate directly in its development. Patrons don't simply own a piece; they become part of the project itself, with access to exclusive dinners and events held in the space as it evolves.
Several of our members who were in Lisbon that day left the studio already considering how they might get involved. That kind of immediate, genuine enthusiasm is exactly what these visits are for.

This is what 100 collectors does on the ground, bringing our community into the studios, the conversations, and the early moments of projects that matter. If you would like to learn more about Evy Jokhova's patronage programme or future studio visits, reach out to us directly.
