The Art Breakfast at Uncommon Gallery, Seoul

On October 1st, 100 collectors, in collaboration with Uncommon Gallery, brought together around 30 collectors, art professionals, and members of Seoul’s art community for an experiential breakfast at the gallery.

Rather than simply meeting over coffee, we created a way of experiencing art together.

Over breakfast, guests met one another through a 100 collectors crossword puzzle before moving into a series of experiential cards designed to encourage different ways of looking at, discussing, and experiencing the artworks.

The cards invited people to move through the gallery, exchange perspectives with someone they had just met, choose works for one another, and start conversations around digital art and collecting.

After breakfast and the games, Uncommon Gallery guided us through the exhibition, giving everyone the opportunity to discover the works and learn more about the artists and ideas behind them.

With around 30 people joining us, the morning became a chance not only to encounter an exhibition, but also to connect with Seoul’s art scene and continue conversations around digital art, collecting, and how we experience art together. And then came an unexpected guest: a dancing robot performing to Michael Jackson.

Thank you to Uncommon Gallery and to everyone who joined us for breakfast, art, conversation, games... and a little dancing.
