Artist Directory

Dubai-based artist and researcher exploring AI, sound, and pixel-based image dissolution, working under the alias Echo Holdings.
Isaac Sullivan is an artist and researcher, working under the name Echo Holdings, whose interests span artificial intelligence, sound art, and the mediation of space and place. His practice frequently treats images as remains rather than fixed records: works such as Refinery and Last Words begin from source material, a refinery flame captured during a durational performance, a set of final words, and then strip away or obscure their original context, leaving only a trace of the event behind. Sullivan is known for enlarging photographic images until they nearly dissolve into their constituent pixels, and for training his own AI language models and transforming their outputs into physical plaster reliefs, treating artificial intelligence as a kind of archaeological relic to be excavated and given material form. This approach reframes computational processes as historical artifacts rather than purely technical tools, prompting viewers to consider what AI-generated material might look like once removed from a screen and rendered as a durable, textured object. Sullivan has presented performances and installations at venues including Alserkal Avenue in Dubai and MatthäusKirche in Berlin, and has participated in panels and workshops addressing AI, memory, and visualization, including sessions connected to Art Dubai. At Art Dubai Special Edition 2026, his work was presented by SHANKAY alongside Eduardo Enrique and Yutaro Inagaki, within a booth exploring humanity, image, and meme culture in relation to technology.
