Biography

Justin Aversano (born September 23, 1992) is an American photographer and digital artist based between New York City and Los Angeles. He studied photography, philosophy, and art history at the School of Visual Arts in New York, graduating in 2014, and began his career shooting fashion and portrait photography for outlets including American Vogue, photographing figures such as A$AP Rocky. Aversano is best known for "Twin Flames," a large-scale portrait photography series documenting twins that became one of the most celebrated early photography projects to enter the NFT space, helping establish photography as a respected digital art medium. Building on that success, he co-founded Quantum Art, a curatorial platform focused on digital culture and NFT collecting, where he serves as CEO, and he also launched the Twin Flames Foundation to support the project's ongoing archive and community. His artistic practice extends beyond still photography into mixed media and moving image work, including projects such as "Moments of the Unknown," a yearlong series of ten-second Super-8 portrait films. Aversano's work engages themes of identity, connection, and shared human experience, often centering on intimate portraiture that captures raw emotional presence. He continues to work as both a practicing artist and a curator, bridging traditional photographic practice with the infrastructure and culture of digital art collecting.
