Nation 2.0 is a speculative digital art project presented at Art Dubai Special Edition 2026 by Foundry, curated by Giuseppe Moscatello, director of Foundry. The work, titled END, imagines an empty parliament room filled with machinery and golden architectural structures, a governing chamber where decisions are made entirely by computer systems and data, with no human figures present. Rather than presenting this scenario as apocalyptic or alarmist, the work adopts a quiet, almost calm register, a choice that makes its implications feel more unsettling than a more dramatic treatment would. The piece sits within a broader curatorial context at Foundry's booth exploring nature, dialogue, algorithm, and time, alongside works by Fakewhale Studio and Scerbo, all examining what happens to human presence and decision-making inside systems originally built by humans. Nation 2.0 asks viewers to consider governance itself as a system that could plausibly be automated, and stages that possibility as an interior space rather than an abstract argument, letting the emptiness and gilded machinery speak for the underlying critique.
