There is something special about learning from people who each see art differently.

Some notice the emotional charge of a work. Others pay attention to context, technique, or the feeling that stays with you after you leave an exhibition. Some are drawn to the people behind the work, while others focus on the broader cultural shifts shaping the field.

That is why we are excited to introduce four contributors whose voices help expand the conversation at 100 collectors.

Coming from different cities, backgrounds, and experiences, they bring us closer to the artists, ideas, exhibitions, and questions shaping digital art today.

Marlene Corbun

Marlène Corbun is the curatorial director of DANAE PARIS and a contemporary art advisor working across London, Paris, and Lyon.

As Marlène shared:

“I fell in love with contemporary art in 2007, when I was living in New York. I spent my days wandering through Chelsea galleries, always curious and inspired by what I would discover next.

I also loved escaping into the MoMA, where every visit was magical. Art wasn’t just something I looked at anymore, it became something I felt deeply.”

Diane Drubay

Diane Drubay is the founder of We Are Museums and a digital art and ecology curator based between Paris and Berlin.

As Diane shared with us:

“When I encounter a new work of art, I first view it through the lens of my own tastes, influences, and cultural background.

Then I like to delve deeper to uncover its various layers of narrative, references, and messages. If an artwork speaks to both my emotions and my intellect, and inspires a desire for change or action, it will have my full attention.”

Lisa Kolb

Lisa Kolb is an art and tech strategist, creative producer, and advisor based between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

As Lisa told us:

“What stays with me after seeing a strong work is layered. The feeling of the encounter, the setting, the technique, and the story behind it all linger in different ways.

That initial gut reaction is almost always made richer by going deeper: researching the artist’s background, influences, and broader body of work.”

Noriaki Nakata

Noriaki Nakata is the gallery director of NEORT Computer Art and a community builder based in Tokyo.

As Nori shared:

“Many times I notice, through conversation, what someone is truly interested in and the kind of words they need to hear.

By trusting my instincts, certain perspectives emerge, whether in the impression of a work, its context, or an artist’s strategy.

More often than not, people are looking for words that meet them with awareness and care.”

Together, these four voices help make 100 collectors what it is: a trusted network where collectors can learn, connect, and engage with digital art through shared discovery, meaningful conversations, and different ways of seeing.
